A
Note From Rory
Dear Reader,
Where do I begin? The last two months have been very
exciting. Let's see...
Last night the ADHD Strategy Series wrapped up. It was a
well-received event and one that I really enjoyed being able to share
with everyone. Thank
you to everyone who participated and attended.
It was a great learning experience, and an
incredible way to share information. I hope you thought so
too. Your feedback so far as been amazing.
ADHD coaching is on the mind... I have heard from many of you
who are extremely interested, but there have also been some concerns
about availability, benefit, and pricing. In light of these
recent conversations, and consultations, I have prepared a special section
below to open a dialogue with you about an opportunity I want to give
YOU!
Last but not least (for now anway), I am incredibly excited to be
heading into the July 4th weekend. Earlier this week, I
scribbled a little article as I was reflecting on
what freedom means to
me - and on what freedom means in the ADHD community. In any
event, Happy 4th of July to my US readers (and a happy belated Canada
day to my Northern friends).
Ok - and who am I kidding? There's just one more thing - one
more bit of exciting news. Check out the "News
&
Events" section below for information on an incredible
conference next
week.

| Special
Section:
Everybody
Gets Coached!
From The Desk of
Rory Stern:
I'm just going to dive in here - and really get personal. A
good number of you have expressed interest in ADHD coaching.
I have had the pleasure (and
I do mean pleasure) of speaking with some really great people.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every single conversation I have
had (and I hope to have many more).
From these conversations, I have learned a few things:
- There is a genuine interest in ADHD coaching
- Each of you are ready to take action
- Each of you are looking for support & guidance
I have also learned that there is one major roadblock -
and that is COST!
So
here is what I am going to do:
For me - it's not all about the money. Being in this unique
position of reaching so many of you really inspires me (and drives me)
to make sure that you have access to the level of support that you want
and need. So let's
take the cost barrier out of the way.
I am going to open up my coaching doors and offer you a custom-tailored
coaching program to suit YOUR demands and YOUR needs.
To anyone intersted - this is an open invitation - I have designed and
crafted a group coaching program that will be available in a few
different formats (largely based on feedback and demand).
Bottom line?
If you need coaching, I am going to respond.
What will it look like?
I will be setting up coaching calls each week - some of you can sign up
for 2 calls a month, 3 calls a month, or 4 calls a month.
I am going to price the coaching
calls at $35 a call. If you are interested in 2
calls a month - your package will be $70 and it will include access to
both calls, e-mail support, workbooks, and recordings of both calls.
The packages will build from there - and the more coaching you want -
the more value will be added to each package.
Here's what I'd like from you. If you are serious about
coaching, please send me an e-mail to info@thetruthbehindadhd.com.
In that e-mail, put "coaching" in the subject line.
I'd like you to include the following:
- What 1 or 2 goals are you looking to accomplish?
In other words, how can I support you the best?
- What level of access are you looking for?
- What will success from coaching look like for you?
And yes - for those of you who would rather talk on the phone about
this - you can contact me directly as well to arrange a consultation
and to discuss particulars.
Group Coaching
Format:
We will create coaching groups together, that offer peer-driven support
and accountability. You will NOT be working alone on any of
this.
My goal - let's get you the coaching you need.
Note: If
this is not clear, or does not address enough information.
Please let me know what you need.
I want
each and every one of you (who is looking to be coached) to have access
to coaching.

ADDA:
2 Points of Interest Here:
First, I want to share with all of you that I have recently been
elected to serve on the National Board of Directors for the Attention
Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA). This is an incredible
opportunity and honor that I will use to really serve adults (and
parents) all over the world. This is just another opportunity
to be connected and reach more people in the ADHD community.
More
importantly, next week is ADDA's annual conference.
It's NOT too late to register. I know I should have
made this announcement earlier - and I am really sorry that I have not.
Tickets are still available and you can get more details at
http://www.addameeting.com.
@Conference - Those of you who will be attending, please let me know.
It would be great to meet with you face to face and have an
opportunity to chat. This years' conference is in Minneapolis!

Who Is
Dr. Rory Stern?
Dr. Stern is a father, husband, son, "former therapist", ADHD coach,
and
information provider. He works from home while caring for
his two young children (3 y/o daughter Dylan and 9 month old son
Gavin). His blog, The Truth Behind ADHD, is really
an
expression of a message he once delivered to children and parents while
working as a psychotherapist.
Having left the workforce to care for my two children, I still feel the
burning desire to share my message with others. I am
passionate about supporting children and their parents, and making sure
that the right information gets to the people who need it the most.
In terms of ADHD, I became active in the community because
too many of my patients and their families did not have enough
information.
And often times, the information they were getting was as
absent as the support and understanding they received from colleagues,
friends, and professionals.
Dr. Stern's message is just as much about education and advocacy, as it
is about understanding ADHD. I do what I do because I want to
change all that. It is my
intent to make sure that parents and children all over the world
realize that while ADHD is real, it is also a label and a name to
characterize certain traits and qualities that can do so much good in
a time when there is so much bad.
"I don't want to see another child simply be misunderstood, mislabeled,
misdirected, and mistreated," says Dr. Stern.
Professional Bits:
Dr. Stern earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the
Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. While
studying, he also completed a Graduate Certificate in Executive
Coaching. He is a member of the American Psychological
Association and currently serves on the National Board of Directors for
the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA).
